Now in the third generation, the Ammererhof is run with love by the Tomasek-Mühltaler family. “Coming home instead of arriving” is what our guests experienced then and still today. So feel at home, even when we are on the mountain or in the air ourselves.

Nestled in the midst of the surrounding 3,000-meter peaks, right from the front door, we are the ideal starting point for short hikes with the little ones, up to high-alpine tours.
You live in your element
Our rooms are designed and furnished entirely with you in mind. Without cell phone reception and Internet, but comfortable and cozy with shower/toilet. If you want, even with stargazing — to go online into space.

No time for boredom
Whether alone or in a group — spend your time doing numerous sports activities in fantastic mountain scenery, panning for gold, listening to the waterfalls or simply doing nothing.

To let off steam and relax
Due to our exposed high altitude, there is usually enough snow well into May. This allows you to enjoy wonderful ski and glacier tours, ice climbing or snowshoe hikes. Many enjoy the peace and winter sun with us. From February on our terrace with hot cocoa and cozy blankets.

In the summer season, in addition to mountaineering, hiking or trail running, you can also try your hand at gold panning and admire the old ruins of the former gold mining settlement on the Tauerngold circular hiking trail. Or simply do nothing and spend the days with us on the sun terrace with a view of the countless waterfalls.
